The story

Amid the turmoil in northeast India, an undercover agent tasked with peace negotiations crosses paths with a tenacious boxer fighting for her dreams.

What it’s like

Overcast green hills, drifting mist, and red-earth roads give this film a muted, damp palette, broken now and then by the bright colours of a market or a boxing gym. Camera work moves between steady, observational frames of checkpoints and government rooms under flat fluorescent light and tighter, restless handheld shots when tension rises. The score leans on low percussion and sustained tones, with quiet stretches of ambient street and forest sound. Its vibe is watchful and unsettled, a political thriller with a tender undercurrent, and it suits a focused evening when you want atmosphere and a slow-building sense of unease rather than fast spectacle. Pacing is deliberate, with the story unfolding through conversations, surveillance, and training scenes. Its emotional arcs centre on an outsider who gradually loses faith in the certainties of his mission, and a young woman's stubborn determination to fight for her future. Violence is present and can be sudden and harsh, including shootings and assaults, though it is not sustained gore. It is for viewers who appreciate grounded political drama and character-led tension, not light entertainment.
