The story

In a world where beasts of all kinds coexist, a gentle wolf awakens to his own predatory urges as his school deals with a murder within its midst.

What it’s like

Muted, painterly anime with soft pastel backgrounds that tip into shadowy, saturated nocturnal scenes, the cool blues and violets of night streets and the warm amber of school corridors giving the look a restless split between daylight and dusk. Its camera settles often on quiet close-ups and slow pans across crowded campus grounds, and the score leans on sparse piano and low, creeping strings that drop out abruptly when tension peaks. Vibe: unsettled, melancholic and introspective, with bursts of sudden stillness. It suits a late evening alone, or a long watch where you want atmosphere that lingers between episodes. The violence is real but mostly restrained: a murder opens the story, and later confrontations include brief, sometimes bloody physical fights and predatory menace, with some frank talk of hunger and sex that is more awkward than explicit. Its pacing is deliberate, building a slow-burning mystery and coming-of-age arc in which a timid, gentle wolf confronts a darker side of himself and begins to test where he belongs. Best for viewers who enjoy thoughtful, morally tangled drama about identity and prejudice, not for anyone wanting something light or purely comforting.
