The story

A dramatic thriller that explores the demons lurking beneath the surface of a contemporary American family. The Rayburns are hard-working pillars of their Florida Keys community. But when the black sheep son comes home for the 45th anniversary of his parents' hotel, he threatens to expose the Rayburns' dark secrets and shameful past, pushing his siblings to the limits of family loyalty.

What it’s like

Sun-bleached Florida Keys light, humid haze over still water, and warm amber interiors that turn heavy as the evenings darken. The camera lingers in long, unhurried takes on faces across dinner tables and hotel lobbies, with the ocean always close by. The score is sparse and low, and quiet stretches let the tension build, so silence carries as much as the dialogue. The vibe is slow-burn dread wrapped in family warmth: sultry, guilt-soaked, and gradually unnerving. It suits a late night with the lights down, or a weekend when you want to sit with a story for hours. The pace is deliberate, with long episodes that let relationships fray over time. Intensity is moderate and rises across the run: there is brutal violence in places, sexual content, drug use, and a steady current of psychological cruelty between siblings, though it is not gore-driven. This is for viewers who enjoy prestige family drama with a thriller's pull and can handle adult, uncomfortable material.
