The story

In the fourth installment of the fighting franchise, Boyka is shooting for the big leagues when an accidental death in the ring makes him question everything he stands for. When he finds out the wife of the man he accidentally killed is in trouble, Boyka offers to fight in a series of impossible battles to free her from a life of servitude.

What it’s like

Hard-edged and kinetic, built around prison-yard grime: concrete corridors under flickering fluorescent tubes, sweat-slick bodies lit by harsh overhead bulbs, and the cold blue-grey of a Bulgarian-shot underworld where every surface looks cheap and scuffed. The camera stays close and fast during fights, with handheld swings and quick cuts that keep the impacts loud and hard to track, while the quieter scenes sit in drab static framing. The score leans on pounding electronic rhythm and metallic stings, with the clatter of chains and bare-knuckle thuds carrying much of the sound design. Vibe: grim, relentless, sweaty-tense. It suits a late-night action binge when you want momentum and don't mind bleakness. Intensity is high: frequent, brutal martial-arts violence with real injuries and bloody faces, a prison setting with hostile characters, and a dark thread of guilt and exploitation. The emotional register is stern and unsentimental, following a hardened fighter who must reckon with a death he caused. For fans of martial-arts action who want physicality over polish, and not for anyone looking for something gentle.
