The story

The Angels are charged with finding a pair of missing rings that are encoded with the personal information of members of the Witness Protection Program. As informants are killed, the ladies target a rogue agent who might be responsible.

What it’s like

Bright, glossy early-2000s digital photography, with saturated sunshine over Los Angeles, poolside blues, and sleek nightclub neon, all shot with restless handheld energy and quick cuts. Fight scenes lean on slow-motion swoops, wire-assisted kicks, and frantic chase sequences set against sun-baked highways and glass-walled offices. The score is loud and synth-driven, with pop cues pushing the rhythm forward. The mood is playful, breezy, and fast, a candy-coloured caper that never lingers in darkness. Violence is stylised and mostly bloodless, with gunfire and brawling but no gore, and the sexual content is light flirtation rather than explicit. Its three leads trade quips constantly, and their friendship carries the emotional weight, with a rogue-agent mystery providing the spine. It suits a lazy Saturday afternoon, a silly comfort rewatch, or a night when you want fun over tension. It's for people who enjoy action-comedy with a wink, cheerful camp, and a sense that everyone involved is having a good time.
