The story
Ki Moo-Hyeok, a lawyer with a high winning rate, only cares about money. Due to a murder case at a high school which he deals with, his reputation as a lawyer hits rock bottom. To regain his good name as a lawyer, he sneaks into the high school and work as a temporary teacher. He tries to reveal a secret which the students have, and gets involved with Teacher Ha So-Hyun, a P.E. teacher who loves her students. They then face the students'secret.
What it’s like
Cool, cramped fluorescent corridors and dim classrooms after the bell, with the camera lingering on faces in tight, close frames and shifting to wider shots of empty hallways that feel watchful. The palette runs on cool blues, greys and sickly institutional whites, warmed only by the occasional sunset through a school window. Music is sparse and tense, with piano stabs and low strings that swell under accusations and drop to near silence in the quieter confrontations. The vibe is anxious and mistrustful, a slow-burn unease that tightens into sharp, sudden bursts of conflict. It suits a late-night binge when you want suspense that keeps you guessing, rather than something cosy. Pacing is steady and investigative, building through interviews, whispered alliances and rising pressure. Its emotional register is cynical at first, softening as a hard-edged lawyer is pulled into caring about the students he is supposed to be exposing. Violence and bullying are present and disturbing, with a murder at the centre and cruelty among teenagers shown with some intensity, but gore is limited. For viewers who enjoy legal and school-set mysteries, morally grey adults, and the slow reveal of who is hiding what.
