The story

When an aspiring author and his free-spirited sister both fall for the enigmatic paying guest at their home, ensuing events rock their traditional family.

What it’s like

Soft daylight through cramped apartment windows, muted ochres and faded blues, and long, still frames that linger on ordinary household rooms, with the camera often holding back from the faces it watches. The pace is unhurried and the sound is largely domestic: clattering kitchens, murmured conversation, and sparse, understated music that surfaces only at emotional pressure points. The mood is quietly melancholy and tender, with tension that builds through glances, silences and things left unsaid rather than through outbursts. Its people are shaped by the slow, uneasy pull between desire and duty, and the arcs follow how private longing collides with a family's expectations. Intensity is low: there is no violence or gore, and any physical intimacy is brief and discreet, but the emotional strain is real and sustained. It suits a slow weekday evening or a considered solo watch, and it is for viewers who prefer intimate, character-led drama with a restrained, reflective register.
