The story
After a family scandal, teen rower Teagan Tao moves to a small town and joins an elite prep school's all-boys crew, sparking rivalry and attraction.
What it’s like
Rowing on still early-morning water sets the tone: a sport of synchronized effort, cold boathouses, and rivals pulling in the same direction. It's a teen drama in the emotional register of its genre, where a family scandal, a new town, and a prep school's all-boys crew produce a slow tangle of rivalry, attraction, friendship and betrayal. The pace is character-led, with the emotional stakes carried by romance, loyalty and secrets rather than action, and the cast's chemistry and power dynamics driving most scenes. The intensity is interpersonal: heartbreak, jealousy and social fallout, with no sense of graphic violence or explicit content. It suits viewers who want a dysfunctional, coming-of-age ensemble drama with sports at its core, especially those drawn to teen romance and rivalry stories that unfold over a whole season.
