The story
After being dumped by her longtime boyfriend, a young woman must deal with her own imagination in order to literally and metaphorically re-enter the world of women, and rekindle the female friendships she left behind.
What it’s like
Bright, saturated sitcom frames with flat, even lighting and plenty of pastel and candy-colored set dressing: a Brooklyn and Los Angeles that feel glossy and digital, with apartments full of clean surfaces, tight two-shots, and quick cutaways to deadpan reaction faces. Sound is a bouncy pop-and-indie soundtrack, punctuated by snappy comic timing and the occasional fantasy beat that breaks the frame. The vibe is breezy, self-aware, and a little bit awkward, the kind of cringe-comedy that laughs at its own missteps. Episodes run at a brisk half-hour clip, with pacing built around rapid banter and running gags rather than slow-building feeling. Emotional register stays light: a woman rebuilding her sense of herself after a breakup, sorting out who her friends are and whether she still fits among them. Intensity is low: some sexual innuendo and crude jokes, mild profanity, and social discomfort played for laughs, with no violence and no real menace. It suits a lazy weekend binge, a light lift after a rough week, or background laughing while doing chores, and it's for people who enjoy friendship-centered comedy with a sharp, embarrassed edge.
