The story

A man who bears a striking resemblance to a renowned movie star becomes an obsessive fan, but when his fierce love is spurned by the star, he decides to destroy the star's life and reputation.

What it’s like

Glossy, saturated digital imagery swings between bright Mumbai studio sheen and grimy, sun-bleached Delhi streets, with music cues that switch between pop song sequences and tense, pulsing thriller underscore. The vibe is feverish and glamorous with a nasty edge, best suited to a late evening with the lights low, or a loud, playful watch with friends who enjoy Bollywood excess. Pacing is brisk and swelling, with long stretches of escalating tension and bursts of mirrored, split-screen-like doubling that makes the central figure feel both admired and hunted. Its emotional register is obsessive, bitter and theatrical, following a lonely, fixated admirer whose devotion curdles into resentment and a need for control. Intensity is moderate to high: there are fight scenes and brutal, bloody violence, plus threatening stalking and cruelty, though little gore beyond that and no explicit sexual content. It suits viewers who want a crowd-pleasing, star-driven thriller that turns the adoring fan against the celebrity, and who can handle sustained menace without needing gentleness.
