The story

Teenagers Charly and Paula worry that sex could ruin their friendship, while their suddenly and surprisingly bossy private parts urge them to go for it.

What it’s like

A light, teasing coming-of-age comedy about two teenage friends whose closeness is tested as desire starts pulling them toward each other. Its mood is awkward and self-conscious, quick to laugh at its own embarrassment, with the kind of comic bodily fumbling that comes from feelings arriving faster than anyone can manage them. Sexuality is the central subject, handled through jokes, nervous glances and frank conversation about what might change, not through explicit imagery; expect sexual themes, innuendo and candid talk about bodies, with no real violence and little danger beyond social mortification. Pacing is brisk, and the emotional arc follows two young people learning to name what they want while trying to protect what they already have. It suits a relaxed evening with a friend or a lighthearted watch when you want warmth without heaviness. Best for viewers who enjoy teen romcoms with a frank, funny edge and a sincere interest in friendship.
