The story
A teenager who dreams with a career as a top model becomes part of a prostitution scheme and meets a powerful and obsessive businessman. As a last resort, he marries the girl's mother just to be near her. This series explores the limits of obsession, wealth and pleasure, using the fashion world as backdrop.
What it’s like
Glossy, high-key telenovela styling: sun-warmed Brazilian skin, saturated magazine-cover palettes, and polished marble penthouses lit in amber, cut against nightclub strobes and dim, smoky back rooms. Camera work is conventional soap coverage, with frequent tight close-ups on faces during confrontations and slow push-ins during seduction scenes, and the fashion shoots and runway sequences give it a sheen of gloss and artifice. The score leans on lush strings and pulsing electronic beats, with melodramatic stings at every reveal. The vibe is opulent, feverish and sordid, with a glamorous surface over real unease. Pacing is long and serialized, with plots doubling back on themselves and emotions played loud. Intensity is high: sexual content and suggestive scenes, drug use, emotional cruelty, and exploitation of minors form central threads, though violence is mostly confrontational rather than graphic. This suits viewers who want a binge-able, scandal-driven drama about ambition, obsession and power, and it is not suitable for anyone seeking something gentle or light.
