The story
Scientists have discovered how to 'hop' human consciousness into lifelike robotic animals, allowing people to communicate with animals as animals. Animal lover Mabel seizes an opportunity to use the technology, uncovering mysteries within the animal world beyond anything she could have imagined.
What it’s like
Bright, saturated computer animation of Oregon forest and meadow, with sunlit greens, rushing water and the busy, detailed life of a riverbank rendered in a clean, friendly style. The mood is playful and warm, a sunny Saturday-afternoon comedy with a little wonder at its edges. It suits family viewing, a lighthearted watch on a weekend afternoon, or a rewatch when you want something cheerful and easy to follow. Its pace is brisk and comic, with frequent gags and visual jokes that keep the energy up. The emotional register stays upbeat and kind: a young woman who loves animals finds herself among them, and the story turns on curiosity and friendship rather than danger. Intensity is low, with mild peril and slapstick rather than real violence, fear, or cruelty, and nothing that lingers in a dark way. It is for families with younger children, animation fans, and anyone wanting a bright, funny, gentle story about belonging in the natural world.
