The story
A crew of savvy former strip club employees band together to turn the tables on their Wall Street clients.
What it’s like
Glossy, nocturnal New York in saturated neon and warm club-light, the strip club rendered in pinks, golds and deep blues, then cut against the cooler fluorescent sterility of midtown offices and bright suburban kitchens. The camera moves with easy confidence: long swooping tracking shots through the pole room, tight close-ups on faces counting money, and a steady, almost documentary attention to hands, bills and bodies. The score leans on bouncy hip-hop and soul, so the soundtrack pulses with energy even in quieter scenes, and the dialogue has a fast, wised-up rhythm. Vibe: sly, glamorous, street-smart, with an undertow of economic anger. It suits a Friday night with friends, a lively comfort rewatch, or a long-haul flight when you want something stylish and propulsive. The intensity is moderate: strong language, sexual content and nudity in club settings, some drug use and brief scuffles, but no gore and little sustained cruelty. Its heart is a tight group of women sharpening each other into something fierce, which makes it a fit for viewers who enjoy caper-style momentum, sharp female friendship and crime stories with a bite of social commentary.
