The story

A remastered version of Judgment, featuring faster loading times, 60 FPS, as well as all of the downloadable content from the original release.

What it’s like

Neon-soaked Kabukicho nights give way to rain-slick alleys, dim izakaya interiors and the cool blue glow of phone screens, all rendered in a glossy, high-contrast digital style with a crisp, rapid 60 FPS feel in its remastered form. Its soundscape moves between a jazz-inflected city score, swelling dramatic strings during confrontations, and the clatter of mahjong tiles and street chatter in the quieter hours. Movement is brisk and the camera hugs characters closely during combat and chase sequences, then pulls back to wide establishing shots of the district. Vibe: stylish, shadowy and gently wry, with bursts of comedy in its side activities. Pacing alternates between tense investigation and long, unhurried stretches of wandering, karaoke and small errands. Violence is frequent and stylised, with punchy martial-arts brawls and some bloody injuries, plus moderate dark themes around crime and grief. Its people are a disgraced lawyer turned investigator slowly reckoning with his past and building loyalty with the few who stand by him. Suited to players who enjoy noir mysteries, sprawling open cities and comic side stories, and who don't mind a steady rhythm of street fights.
