The story

A veterinarian returns home to his father's elephant reserve where he encounters and fights an international poachers' racket.

What it’s like

Bright daylight over green forest canopy, wide establishing shots of elephants moving through tall grass, and a warm, saturated palette that turns to hard shadow in the night-set standoffs. The camera tends toward sweeping crane moves and fast tracking during the fights, which are staged for maximum kinetic clarity, with martial arts choreography front and centre and rattling, percussive sound design under the brass-heavy score. The vibe is bold, sun-drenched and boisterous, a popcorn adventure with a sincere streak about animal welfare. Its pacing is brisk, built around escalating set pieces and a hero who is steady and earnest rather than brooding. Violence is frequent and stylised: punches, kicks, chases and gunfire, with some blood but no real gore, and the threat to the animals carries real tension. There is a light romance and song sequences that break up the action. It suits a Friday night with friends, or anyone who wants a high-energy film with clear heroes, villains and a lot of motion. It is not gentle, but it is not grim.
