The story

Yui Hirasawa has no clue which club to join, but she’s determined to do something this year. As luck would have it, she discovers a flyer for the Light Music Club and decides this is the club for her. But there's one problem: She first must learn guitar!

What it’s like

Bright, soft-edged anime frames with flat pastel palettes, sunlit classrooms, and warm afternoon glow through school windows, the kind of gentle daylight that makes ordinary corridors feel fond. The soundtrack is the draw: bouncy guitar-pop, cheerful band performances, and quiet strums during practice breaks, with the drums and bass giving the rooms a loose, unhurried pulse. Episodes are short and episodic, built on small rituals like tea breaks, sleepy mornings, and a clumsy first attempt at chords, so the rhythm is relaxed and wandering rather than driven. Its emotional register is cozy and nostalgic, with a light, affectionate warmth toward friendship and the slow drift of high school years. Comedy is silly and character-driven, never cruel, and there is no violence, no real threat, and nothing frightening. It suits a rainy Sunday, a comfort rewatch, or background listening while doing something with your hands. It is for people who want something sweet, low-stakes and musical, and a gentle nostalgia for school days.
