The story

When a mysterious force begins to disrupt their big summer fun, Noah and his friends team up with a retired police detective to embark on a monstrous adventure to save their island.

What it’s like

Bright summer-holiday light over a small island, with the mood shifting toward spooky dusk whenever the supernatural creeps in. The tone is playful and nostalgic, a kids-on-bikes adventure with a folksy horror edge: sunny beaches and sleepy seaside streets giving way to shadowy woods, a half-remembered witch legend, and creature sightings that feel more eerie than grisly. Pacing is brisk and episodic, with the group's bonds and banter driving the scenes between mysteries. Its people are a band of friends growing braver as they team up with an older, weary investigator who has his own reasons to care. Intensity sits in the mild-to-moderate range: spooky chases and jump-scare moments, creature threat without graphic gore, and little that lingers as cruelty. It suits a lazy weekend afternoon, a family movie night, or anyone wanting a light supernatural mystery with a warm, summery feel and a touch of goosebumps. Best for viewers who enjoy coming-of-age adventure with a mild creepy streak.
