The story

Dignity. Poise. Mystery. We expect nothing less from the great turn-of-the-century magician, Presto. But when Presto neglects to feed his rabbit one too many times, the magician finds he isn't the only one with a few tricks up his sleeve!

What it’s like

Bright, hand-drawn stage lighting with warm pools of spotlight against a dark proscenium, and a clean, cartoonish palette of reds, golds and crisp whites that feels like a vintage theatre poster come to life. The camera stays mostly on the stage, with tidy, symmetrical framing and the kind of brisk cutting that suits a short. The sound is bouncy and playful: a plucked banjo-style score, snappy comic timing, and small mechanical flourishes that make every trick feel like a little explosion of delight. Vibe: whimsical, sly, and warmly mischievous. It suits a short sit-down with the family, a light afternoon, or a comfort watch when you want something quick and smiling. The pacing is brisk and the tone is a clever reversal of a stage act, with a slightly frazzled magician facing an unexpected lesson in care. Intensity is mild: some stage-slapstick chaos and a flash of temper, but no real violence, gore or fear. Made for people who love physical comedy, classic magic-show charm, and animated shorts that land a joke in a few minutes.
