The story
Action-thriller about two brothers, Ranvir and Rajiv, whose rivalry in the world of horse racing turns into a deadly game of betrayal, greed, and revenge, investigated by Inspector Robert D'Costa.
What it’s like
Glossy, saturated Bollywood thriller texture: sun-drenched Goa villas and Mumbai hotel interiors under warm tungsten and bright daylight, with lush greens of racecourse lawns and the bright silks of jockeys against dark polished wood and cool blue nights. Camera moves are kinetic and stylish, with quick cuts, swooping crane shots over the track, and slick slow-motion during sweeping set pieces, all underscored by a bombastic score of thumping percussion, synth stings and romantic vocal numbers. The vibe is glamorous and tense, a crisp-suited, high-gloss noir with a sheen of soap-opera melodrama, best for a Friday night with friends or an escapist watch when you want style over subtlety. Pacing is brisk and twisty, built around reversals of loyalty and rising paranoia, and its emotional register swings between operatic family grief and cool calculation, following two brothers whose bond sours into open hostility. Intensity is moderate: several gunfights and a few violent deaths, staged with theatrical flair rather than gore, along with some sensual romance and a menacing undercurrent of betrayal. It suits viewers who enjoy polished crime capers, twisty whodunit suspense and big-screen melodrama more than quiet realism.
