The story

Fallen heroes of old folk tales and legends: you are on the verge of a crucial battle against the Nightmare invading and corrupting your world. A roguelike action game from the creators of Curse of the Dead Gods, playable solo or in online co-op.

What it’s like

Bright, painterly 2D art with bold ink outlines and saturated jewel colours, the kind of storybook palette that makes a fairy-tale forest look hand-inked across a parchment-toned map. Fast, weighty hack-and-slash combat sits over those lush, layered backdrops, with punchy hit effects and a lively orchestral-folk score that swells during fights and softens between runs. Each run is short and punchy, with the rhythm of a roguelite: die, return to the hub, try again with a slightly stronger party. The mood is adventurous and quietly whimsical, with dark edges where the Nightmare's corruption creeps in. The violence is stylised and constant, with cartoonish blood-free impacts and monsters bursting into glowing motes rather than gore, though enemies swarm in large numbers and the pace can feel frantic. It suits a rainy weekend session, a comfort replay, or a co-op night with friends, and it is made for players who love replayable action, rotating heroes and the pull of "one more run."
