The story
Retired C.I.A. agent Frank Moses reunites his unlikely team of elite operatives for a global quest to track down a missing portable nuclear device.
What it’s like
Bright, glossy studio lighting with saturated primaries, sunny European postcard locations (London rooftops, Paris boulevards, a Russian palace) and a clean digital sheen that never gets grimy. Camera work is brisk and conventional, with quick cuts, snappy two-shots and polished set-piece coverage rather than anything lingering or intimate. The score bounces along with brassy, playful action cues and a light comic rhythm, and the mood is buoyant, self-aware and deliberately silly. It suits a Friday night with friends, a lazy streaming evening or a background watch while doing something else. Violence is frequent and cartoonish: gunfights, explosions and a crashing airplane, with bloodless, slapstick falls and no real gore. Sexual content is minimal and there is little real threat to feel, so the tension stays light. It is for people who want an easygoing caper with old-pro charm and a wink, not a tense or grim thriller.
