The story

Unjustly accused of staging a spooky practical joke complete with ghosts, Daphne, Velma, Fred and Shaggy are suspended from Coolsville High. To clear their names, they team up to solve the supernatural mystery…and head straight into nonstop laughs and adventure.

What it’s like

Bright, bouncy cartoon colours and a busy, kinetic animated style, with the spooky-but-harmless look of a Saturday-morning mystery: old mansions, foggy grounds, and a high school hallway where the teenagers' sneakers squeak. The sound is upbeat and playful, with comic sound effects, a jaunty score, and a dog's yelps and gulps that do much of the emotional work. The vibe is light, warm, and cheerfully silly, the kind of thing to put on for a lazy weekend afternoon, a family movie night, or a kid's sleepover. The pacing is quick and episodic, with one gag or chase often flowing straight into the next, and the tone stays friendly throughout: the spooky elements are cartoon ghosts that jump out to make the friends shriek, not real threats. The emotional arc follows a close-knit group of friends who stick together when they're unfairly blamed, and the bond between them is the heart of it. The intensity is very mild: slapstick tumbles, comic peril, and cartoon scares, with no gore, no sexual content, and nothing cruel. It suits families, young viewers, and anyone who wants something gentle, funny, and nostalgic without much to think about.
