The story
After clicking an old link on a forum, you’ve stumbled into a server of strange hackers, each with their own axe to grind. They’re (reluctantly) willing to give you some lessons, but is there something else to gain during your time here?
What it’s like
Cool, flickering monitor glow over dark interface panels, with terminal-green and cyan text scrolling across chat windows and the occasional glitch shimmer. The sound is soft electronic ambience and clicky keyboard textures, with quiet synth tones that swell when a new message lands. It has the feel of a late-night session on an old internet forum: cozy, a little conspiratorial, and easy to lose an evening inside. Pacing is unhurried and conversational, driven by reading and choosing replies, with each hacker's clipped, prickly personality slowly softening as you earn their trust. The emotional register is wry and warm, a lonely newcomer gradually finding a place among difficult, guarded people. The intensity is low: tension is verbal and mostly playful, with no violence, gore, or explicit content. It suits quiet nights alone, a relaxed PC session, or anyone who wants a gentle romance-tinged mystery with a techy flavour and light stakes. It is for players who enjoy character-driven visual novels, otome-leaning romance, and cozy hacker aesthetics.
