The story
A disgraced basketball coach is given the chance to coach a team of players who are intellectually disabled as part of community services. Gulshan has apprehensions at first and feels out of place but soon realizes they just might have what it takes to make it to the national championships.
What it’s like
Bright, warm daylight over gymnasium courts and crowded city streets, with a cheerful palette and a lot of close, expressive framing on faces as the coach's scepticism softens. The score is buoyant and melodic, with light percussion that swells into sports-montage energy, and the dialogue-driven scenes have an easy, playful rhythm. The vibe is warm, funny and openly sentimental, a feel-good sports comedy that suits a weekend afternoon, a family viewing, or a lift-your-mood evening. A disgraced coach, assigned to community service, slowly learns to see his unlikely team as more than they first seem. The pacing is brisk, with comic set pieces giving way to tender, emotional beats. The intensity is gentle: there is no violence or gore, the sexual content is absent, and the tone rarely turns cruel, though some scenes touch on ridicule and prejudice before the story moves past them. It is for viewers who want an uplifting, humane underdog story with laughter, a few tears, and a hopeful ending.
