The story
Journey into the lives of two distinctly different Jedi from the prequel era – Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku. Each will be put to the test as they make choices that will define their destinies.
What it’s like
Clean cel-shaded animation with painted, sun-washed backdrops: ochre deserts, misty forest canopies, and the cool blues of Coruscant's spires at dusk. The palette leans warm and saturated, and the camera lingers on wide establishing shots before cutting into tight, staged duels where lightsaber glow is the brightest thing on screen. The score swells with orchestral strings and choral pads, then drops away to wind and footsteps. Across six short episodes, the rhythm is unhurried and contemplative, with quiet stretches of dialogue and reflection punctuated by sharp bursts of action. The mood is awestruck and wistful, a little melancholy about choices that cannot be undone. Violence is present but stylised: swordfights, a few deaths shown briefly, and some tense, menacing moments around Dooku, with no gore. It suits a quiet evening, a comfort rewatch for fans of the prequel era, or a patient viewer who enjoys character-focused stories about faith, doubt and consequence.
