The story

An American priest working in Mexico is considered a saint by many local parishioners. However, due to a botched exorcism, he carries a secret that’s eating him alive until he gets an opportunity to face his demon one final time.

What it’s like

Dusty small-town streets under hard midday sun, then the cramped, echoing corridors of a prison, give this one its setting and much of its texture. Its vibe is heavy and uneasy, with a guilt-soaked melancholy running under the possession horror. The pacing suits a late-night watch alone or a slow, attentive evening rather than a casual background choice, since its interest lies in a single man's conscience as much as in the supernatural threat. The emotional register is grave and inward: a revered figure carrying a secret that is slowly wearing him down, and the story turns on whether he can finally confront what he did. The horror is supernatural and likely unsettling, with possession and exorcism at its core, but its intensity is not clearly gentle, so viewers wanting something soft should approach with caution. It is for people drawn to faith-tinged horror, moral weight, and stories of guilt and reckoning set against a Mexican backdrop.
