The story

A fearless, globe-trotting, terrorist-battling secret agent has his life turned upside down when he discovers his wife might be having an affair with a used car salesman while terrorists smuggle nuclear war heads into the United States.

What it’s like

Bright, sun-bleached Florida light and glossy 1990s action polish: wide sunlit Key West vistas, gleaming Miami hotels, sleek black-tie interiors lit warm and hard, and a lot of expensive-looking car chases shot with kinetic handheld energy and big practical explosions. The score swells with brassy, bombastic synth-orchestral bursts that punch up every stunt, while quieter scenes lean on sitcom-style domestic timing and easy suburban comedy. The vibe is breezy, loud and cheerfully over-the-top, a mix of spy-movie bravado and slapstick marital farce, best suited to a Saturday night with friends or a nostalgic rewatch for someone who likes big set pieces. Pacing is brisk and escalating, and the emotional arc follows a boastful, overconfident husband learning to take his wife seriously and loosen up, with comedy keeping the stakes playful. Intensity is high: frequent gunfire, fistfights, casual villain violence, a brief kidnapping and some sexual innuendo and a restrained striptease, though gore is limited. It is for viewers who want an action spectacle with a warm, goofy domestic heart and no heavy dread.
