The story

After being pulled into the webtoon world created by her father, a surgical resident gets entangled in a murder mystery involving the story's hero.

What it’s like

Sleek, glossy Korean television with bright hospital corridors, cool fluorescent whites, and warm, saturated interiors for the real-world scenes, then a sharp shift into the webtoon world, where the frames take on heightened comic-book contrast, bold colour blocking, and the occasional drawn-panel flourish. Sound leans on swelling orchestral strings, pop ballads, and punchy percussion that spikes during fights and shootouts, while quiet moments are allowed to breathe. Pacing is brisk and episodic, with cliffhangers that keep the hour moving, and the register swings between wry, playful comedy and tense thriller beats. Violence is present and reasonably frequent: fistfights, gunfire, attempted murders and a murder mystery drive the plot, usually staged with stylised action rather than gore, though some scenes are sharp and unsettling. Romance between a cool-headed surgeon and a stoic protagonist builds slowly, with a bittersweet, lovers-separated ache. Suits viewers who enjoy binge-friendly melodrama with genre hybridity, a comfortable weekend-marathon watch with a dash of danger and a lot of heart.
