The story
A misfit group of unwitting high school students stumble upon a cursed object, an ancient Aztec Death Whistle. They discover that blowing the whistle and the terrifying sound it emits will summon their future deaths to hunt them down.
What it’s like
Cold, unsettling dread built around a single sound: a shrill, piercing whistle that cuts through the quiet of a high school and hangs over every scene. The mood is grave and cautionary, mystery-driven, with the school's ordinary corridors and classrooms made to feel unsafe once a cursed relic enters the picture. The pacing is tense and escalating, with rising unease between rare moments of relief, and the emotional register tilts toward fear, guilt and the dread of an inevitable outcome. Expect supernatural horror in which deaths are a central threat and the menace is persistent, with frightening encounters and violence that lands hard rather than lingering in gore; this is not a gentle watch. It suits a dark night in, a horror-leaning group viewing, or anyone drawn to teen-centred supernatural mysteries about a curse that takes hold once it is set off. It is for viewers who want an eerie, sound-driven creep with a clear sense of doom, a misfit group of young people facing a fate they cannot outrun, and a story where curiosity itself becomes the danger.
