The story
After faking his death, a tech billionaire recruits a team of international operatives for a bold and bloody mission to take down a brutal dictator.
What it’s like
Hyperkinetic and glossy, with saturated golden-hour sunlight over Florence and the dusty ochre streets of a fictional North African-style city, and the camera never sits still: rapid handheld whip-pans, swooping drone shots over rooftops, and slow-motion bursts of gunfire that turn the frame into a music video. Colours run hot and oversaturated, with orange sunsets, chrome sports cars, and sleek black-tie interiors, while the sound is a relentless pulse of electronic thump, screeching tyres and sharp, close gunshots. The vibe is loud, sun-drenched and slick, more adrenaline than dread, with a brief but brutal stream of shootouts, car chases and explosions where bodies fall without much lingering gore, and some crude sexual innuendo and profanity in the banter. Pacing is restless, cutting fast between set pieces and quips, with the emotional arc of a wealthy man trading his privilege for a reason to matter. It suits a loud Friday night or a long-haul flight where you want spectacle over subtlety, and it is for people who enjoy big, wisecracking action with a sense of humour that does not take itself seriously.
