The story
Love is as tough as it is sweet for a lovestruck teenager, whose relationship with her next-door neighbor transforms as they grow into adulthood.
What it’s like
Bright, ordinary daytime settings and soft, even light give this series a warm, unhurried look, with a lot of time spent in hallways, doorways and small shared spaces between two neighbors' homes. Its sound is light and melodic, with pop-leaning romantic cues that lift comic beats without overpowering the dialogue. The vibe is sweet and bittersweet in equal measure: a wry, self-aware comedy that turns easily to awkward ache and then back to giggles. Pacing is conversational and episodic, letting small misunderstandings and everyday friction breathe. Its emotional register is tender and a little teasing, following a young woman's stubborn, overwhelming crush as the years change how she and her neighbor see each other. Intensity is low: the conflicts are emotional and social rather than physical, with no violence, gore or threat, and any romance stays restrained. It suits a rainy weekend binge, a comfort rewatch, or something to have on quietly while doing chores. It is for viewers who want a gentle, funny, heartfelt romance that takes its characters' growing-up seriously without tipping into heaviness.
