The story
Expelled from school abroad, Ai starts fresh and falls for Nhai, a carefree student who doesn’t like him back—yet.
What it’s like
Warm, sunlit campus days and soft golden-hour evenings give this series a bright, easygoing surface, with plenty of cheerful pop score and lively, mid-tempo music over the bar and dorm scenes. Flashbacks step back into softer, slightly hazier light, which sets the earlier years apart from the present. Its mood is warm and nostalgic, with a fluttering, awkward sweetness: the thrill of a crush that hasn't been returned yet, friends teasing across tables, late nights of drinking and half-confessed feelings. Pacing is unhurried, built on everyday conversations and small gestures, and the emotional register stays tender rather than tragic, though a medical thread involving an organ transplant adds weight and quiet worry to some stretches. Violence is absent, and any sexual content is restrained and largely implied. The people's arcs follow a naive newcomer slowly learning how to be known and to trust others, and the series suits a comfort rewatch, a relaxed weekend binge, or anyone who wants a gentle, romantic, friendship-centred story with a little heartache.
