The story
Reunited after 15 years, famous chef Sasha and hometown musician Marcus feel the old sparks of attraction, but struggle to adapt to each other's worlds.
What it’s like
Bright, warm San Francisco and New York light, with sunny kitchen interiors, glossy restaurant dining rooms and the neon-lit clutter of a late-night club, shot in a polished, unfussy digital style with plenty of close two-shots that let the leads' reactions land. The score is light and upbeat, pop-leaning with laid-back guitar and synth touches, and the soundtrack carries a lot of the mood. The feel is warm, funny and easygoing, a cozy comedy with a rom-com glow and a touch of bittersweet ache underneath. It suits a lazy weekend afternoon, a comfort rewatch, or a night when you want something that makes you smile without asking much. The pacing is brisk and conversational, with set-piece jokes and tender beats alternating. Its emotional arc follows two old friends who have grown apart and slowly relearn how to meet each other, with grief and family history shading the banter. Language is frank and sexual content appears in some scenes, but violence is minimal and the tone stays gentle. It is for people who want a sweet, grounded romance with real humour and a little heart.
