The story

A group of friends facing mid-life crises head to the rainforest with the intention of remaking their favorite movie from their youth, only to find themselves in a fight for their lives against natural disasters, giant snakes and violent criminals.

What it’s like

Bright, sun-saturated jungle under a flat tropical sky, with humid greens and muddy browns, and handheld camera work that keeps the friends close and jittery as they bump through river shallows and crowded canopy. The sound is a comedy-adventure mix: loud banter over chirping insects, sudden creature noises, and a bouncy, cheerful score that undercuts each scare. Its vibe is goofy, self-aware, and gently chaotic, the kind of popcorn picture that suits a Friday night with friends or a lighthearted watch when you want to laugh at grown men panicking. The pacing is brisk, with jokes landing between escapes, and the emotional arc follows three middle-aged friends rediscovering their nerve and their bond. Violence is present and comic-exaggerated, with some creature attacks, gunfire and a few bloody moments, though nothing sustained or truly gory. Expect animal-horror thrills played for laughs rather than dread. It is for people who enjoy horror-comedy, nostalgic in-jokes about old creature features, and buddy movies about getting older.
