The story

Take on the role of a key member of Rhodes Island, a pharmaceutical company that fights both a deadly infection and the unrest it leaves in its wake. Together with your leader Amiya, you’ll recruit Operators, train them, then assign them to various operations to protect the innocent and resist those who would thrust the world into turmoil.

What it’s like

Painted anime portraits of its operators sit over a dust-brown, sun-bleached world of ruined cities and clinic corridors, with cool blue interface glow and warm amber light at the edges of each battlefield. Maps are top-down grids where you place units and pause the clock to plan, so the rhythm is deliberate: long stretches of quiet setup, then bursts of stylized clashes with glowing skill effects and a swelling orchestral-electronic score. Between missions, the mood turns soft and conversational, with character dialogue that feels like sitting in a staff lounge at dusk. The vibe is melancholy but hopeful, a post-apocalyptic unease softened by camaraderie and small domestic moments. Violence is frequent but stylised and bloodless, with no gore, and the emotional weight comes from grief, illness and loss, handled gently rather than graphically. It suits long evening sessions, planning-focused downtime, or background play while doing something else with one eye on the screen. It is for players who enjoy tactical puzzles, character-driven stories and collecting a cast they grow fond of.
