The story
With Maltazard now seven feet tall and Arthur still two inches small, our hero must find a way to grow back to his normal size and stop the Evil M once and for all, with the help of Selenia and Betameche.
What it’s like
Bright, saturated greens and warm earth tones fill this family adventure, where a live-action boy shares the frame with computer-animated miniature creatures in a sunlit garden that becomes a vast, overgrown world at their scale. The camera moves briskly through sun-dappled grass, soft-focus meadows, and busy fantasy villages, with plenty of swooping aerial shots and quick cuts during chases. The score is bouncy and orchestral, with fanfare-like rises that underline the playful, storybook mood. The pacing is lively and episodic, and the tone stays warm and light, with cheeky humour and a gentle sense of wonder. Its stakes are cartoonish: a few scuffles, a tense battle sequence, and menacing villains, but no gore and nothing truly frightening. Its emotional arc follows a young hero learning to trust his friends and his own courage. It suits a weekend afternoon with children, or a light comfort watch for anyone who enjoys fantastical family films.
