The story
A lawyer with a ten-percent winning rate is caught up in a murder case and becomes the notorious and genius con artist, Big Mouse, overnight. In order to survive and protect his family, he tries to reveal the true colors of the privileged people involved in a huge conspiracy.
What it’s like
Cool, high-contrast Seoul nights, with wet asphalt, glass towers and courtroom and office interiors lit by hard fluorescents and amber desk lamps, give this crime drama a polished, glossy-digital surface with a noir undertow. Dark corridors, tight two-shot conversations and sudden cuts build a steady tension, and the score leans on low synth pulses and brooding strings that rise at each reveal. The vibe is paranoid and cerebral, a wary slow burn that suits a late evening alone or a focused binge over several nights. A lawyer, pressed into a murder case, turns to deception to protect the people he loves, and the arc follows his shifting loyalties as the elite around him show their hidden faces. Violence is present and occasionally sharp, with a murder and some physical confrontation, but it is not graphic, and the drama stays in conversations, betrayals and sustained dread rather than gore. It suits viewers who enjoy legal intrigue, power plays and morally grey protagonists, and who are comfortable with a serious, tightly wound atmosphere.
