The story

A web-based 3D experience and homage to both art and Bubsy.

What it’s like

Low-poly 3D geometry rendered in flat, crude polygons, with the stuttering, uncanny softness of an old browser build. Light does most of the work: slow-shifting fields of colour and glow that feel borrowed from a gallery installation, so rooms seem to dissolve into pure luminance and then reassemble. The palette is saturated but washed out, with long stretches of murky blue and violet and sudden flashes of clean white. Sound is sparse and eerie, with thin ambient drones, odd pings and long silences that make every movement feel conspicuous. The mood is dreamlike and unsettling, a wry parody that slides into quiet dread and ghostly absurdity, with a playful, self-aware sense of humour running underneath. Pacing is slow and drifting, built around exploration, flight and hunting for collectibles, with text dialogue and cheat-code jokes breaking the stillness. There is no real violence or gore; the horror is atmospheric, the unease of empty spaces and things that seem not quite right. Good for a late-night browser wander, for people who enjoy fangame oddities, art-world in-jokes, and eerie, low-stakes weirdness with a knowing grin.
