The story
When Eva and Rubén travel back in time to 1957, they try to go unnoticed until they find a way to return. Their plans change after Eva falls for Italian heartthrob JJ, and her actions begin to drastically alter the future.
What it’s like
Bright, saturated retro color with the glossy polish of a Saturday-night TV set: pastel diners, chrome and pink-and-teal interiors, sunny streets, and a light that stays warm and even. The camera moves in quick, cheerful sitcom-style cuts and lively push-ins, and the sound leans on 1950s-flavored pop and bouncy incidental music that keeps the energy up. The vibe is playful and nostalgic, with a candy-coated soap-opera heartbeat: romantic misunderstandings, sudden crushes, and family tangles played for laughs. The pacing is brisk, and each episode is light enough to watch in one sitting with a snack. Its arcs follow two young people who are out of place and slowly learn to take their own choices seriously. Intensity is low throughout: mild peril and comic stakes, some sweet romance, and no graphic violence, gore, or sexual content. It suits a lazy weekend, a comfort rewatch, or a feel-good background watch. It is for viewers who want warm, goofy, colorful escapism with a time-travel hook and no darkness.
