The story

Contains the complete Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert games, plus all three expansion packs (Covert Operations, Counterstrike, and The Aftermath), completely remastered music and graphics, UI improvements, and tons of bonus features and improvements.

What it’s like

Chunky, hand-drawn isometric-style sprites over tactical maps of scorched desert, green fields and grey urban sprawl, with the remaster's sharpened HD art softening the original pixel grit into something clean and readable. Cutscenes are grainy live-action FMV, all cigarette-smoke command rooms and earnest, overwrought briefings, which gives the whole thing a retro B-movie flavour. The soundtrack is the centrepiece: remastered synth and industrial rock pulses under every skirmish, with the Red Alert and Tiberian Dawn scores still driving the mood. Play is deliberate and strategic rather than frantic, built around slow base-building, resource harvesting and careful unit positioning, so the rhythm is steady, with bursts of tension when an attack lands. Its vibe is nostalgic, low-stakes absorption: a late-night session with headphones, a comfortable rainy-weekend campaign, or a loop of skirmish matches while half-listening to something else. Violence is cartoonish and abstract, with explosions, burning wrecks and tanks disintegrating, but no gore and no sexual content. Best for returning fans of 1990s RTS games and for players who enjoy methodical, tactical play with a campy edge.
