The story

When a fatal accident occurs on board the International Space Station, a lone astronaut makes the heroic journey back to Earth, only to discover key pieces of her life—including her young daughter—have changed.

What it’s like

Cold, washed-out greys and steel blues dominate, with grey Cologne winter light through apartment windows and sterile white hospital corridors that feel slightly too clean. Space scenes are stark and silent, with black voids and tight helmet close-ups, and the home scenes are quiet and watchful, often held in still medium shots that let unease build. The score is sparse, with low drones and faint electronic hum that swell when something is wrong. Pacing is slow and deliberate, more puzzle than action, and the tone is a steady, creeping disquiet. A woman's grief and disorientation drive the emotional arc, moving from isolation toward a fragile attempt to reconnect with what remains of her life. Intensity is moderate: a fatal accident is depicted, there are tense peril sequences and some medical imagery, but there is no gore and little explicit violence, and fear comes from uncertainty more than shock. It suits a late, unsettled evening or a focused rainy-day watch, and it is best for viewers who enjoy patient psychological mystery with a chilly, cerebral atmosphere.
