The story

A Las Vegas team of forensic investigators are trained to solve criminal cases by scouring the crime scene, collecting irrefutable evidence and finding the missing pieces that solve the mystery.

What it’s like

Cool blue-steel and sickly fluorescent light dominate, with the Las Vegas nights bleeding in through glass as hot amber and neon. The camera is restless but precise: swooping crane shots and fast tracking moves through the city, then slow, deliberate close-ups of fibers, blood spatter and tiny objects under a lab's clinical white glare. Its sound is a pulsing electronic score, bass-heavy and insistent, punctuated by the hush of latex gloves and the click of a crime-scene camera. The vibe is slick, procedural and brisk, a comfortable crime-night watch for background during a late-evening chore or a familiar rewatch. Pacing is quick and tidy, each episode tightly structured around a single case that resolves by the closing minutes. Its emotional register is brisk and professional, with the team's quiet camaraderie and occasional personal beats giving the ensemble its warmth. Violence and murder are central, shown through corpses, wounds and gore in the investigations, though it is usually framed clinically rather than lingering in brutality, and there is regular threat and tension. It suits viewers who want a polished, puzzle-driven crime drama with forensic detail and a strong ensemble, and less so anyone seeking something gentle.
