The story

Eight strangers awaken with no memory, in a puzzling cube-shaped room where the laws of physics do not always apply.

What it’s like

Cool blue-white light and sterile grey-green panels dominate, with the palette shifting to the sickly tints of flickering warning lights and red emergency glow as the rooms rearrange. The camera stays mostly tight and restless, handheld in cramped corridors, cutting to wide overhead shots of identical rooms that make the geometry feel like a diagram. Sound is a steady mechanical hum and clicks of hidden machinery, punctuated by electronic stings and sudden silences, so the tension often comes from what is not heard. Vibe: cold, clinical unease with a playful edge, a puzzle box that wants you leaning forward rather than cowering. It suits a rainy evening with friends, a rewatch while mulling over a problem, or late-night viewing when you want suspense without dread settling into the bones. Pacing is brisk and rule-driven, with characters who bicker, bluff and reason their way through danger, and their arcs centre on trust forming under pressure. Violence is present and sometimes abrupt, including gore and sudden deaths, but it is more clinical and jolting than lingering. For people who enjoy problem-solving thrillers, brainy strangers in impossible spaces, and claustrophobic set pieces with dark humour.
