The story

At the brink of going to hell, Yee-jae must cycle through twelve separate lives and twelve separate deaths in this reincarnation drama.

What it’s like

Cool, glossy digital images carry most of this series: slick night-city interiors, lounge bars and sterile offices washed in blue and sickly neon, with dark shadows pooling at the edges of the frame. The camera stays close and restless during the tense beats and pulls back for stark, almost clinical establishing shots. Each life brings a new set of textures and rooms, so the viewing rhythm is episodic and punchy, with a steady pulse of synth-tinged score that drops out abruptly around the deaths. The vibe is bleak and darkly playful, a mix of dread, gallows humour and existential weight, best suited to a late-night binge when you want something gripping rather than soothing. Its deaths are the most intense element: suicide is a central theme, and several of the deaths are violent and graphic, with blood and physical trauma shown directly. Fear and cruelty are frequent, though the tone stays more grim than gratuitous. It suits viewers who enjoy high-concept, emotionally heavy genre stories and can handle dark material about death and self-harm.
