The story

A dragon raising game from Gameloft. Hundreds of dragons are waiting for you to build them a home, take care of them and help them grow from cute little hatchlings into powerful warriors.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated cartoon fantasy in a glossy mobile style: rounded islands floating in pastel skies, candy-coloured dragons with oversized eyes, and little habitats that bloom and sparkle as you decorate them. The sound is a cheerful, looping orchestral-pop score with chirps, chimes and the satisfied burble of hatchlings, and taps land with soft pops and rewards. Menus and tasks run at a light, steady clip, with timers that pace the day into short bursts of feeding, breeding and building rather than long immersive sessions. The mood is sunny, low-stakes and cosy, with a steady trickle of small accomplishments: a hatchling growing up, a new room unlocked, a rare dragon appearing in the nursery. Its intensity is very gentle, with no gore, no fear and no real cruelty, just brief scuffles and battle previews that resolve quickly. It suits a lazy afternoon on a phone, a few minutes waiting in line, or background play while half-watching something else. It is for people who enjoy nurturing and collecting, and who want something soft, colourful and easy to dip into.
