The story
Working in partnership with F1, for the first time ever, players will be able to get behind the wheel of a 2019 regulation car specifically designed in collaboration with F1’s technical team, headed up by Ross Brawn and Pat Symonds. The car, which will be available in Multiplayer, adheres to the 2019 regulations and comes with a range of livery designs offering players a new level of personalization. The 2019 F1 Team liveries will also feature on the car in early marketing materials, but will be replaced by the final Team cars ahead of the game's release.
What it’s like
Bright, sun-warmed circuits and sharp daylight glare off wet and dry tarmac, with the cockpit view and chase camera doing most of the looking. Rain sweeps in across the track in grey veils, spray hangs over the grid, and night races turn the floodlit paddock into a clean, electric blur. The sound is engine-heavy and textured: a rising howl through the gears, tyres chirping on painted kerbs, crowd murmur and the sharp snap of gearshifts sitting over a restrained, mostly ambient soundtrack. Pacing is set by the player, with long, steady stints that tighten into bursts of concentration in qualifying and wheel-to-wheel battles, then breathe out during practice laps and calm garage moments. The vibe is focused and absorbed, a quiet competitive tension rather than spectacle for its own sake, with frustration and small, hard-won gains carrying the emotional weight. Intensity is low: no violence or gore, only the mild peril of a crash that resets the lap. It suits a wet Saturday afternoon, a late-night session alone with a controller or wheel, or a shared race with friends online. It is for people who love motorsport detail, the satisfaction of mastering a difficult car, and a calm, technical kind of focus.
