The story

Under investigation as a suspect in her husband's murder, a wife reveals details of their thorny marriage that seem to only further blur the truth.

What it’s like

Warm domestic interiors in a North Indian town, all cluttered rooms, ceiling fans, tube lights and rain-dampened lanes, shot with a slightly grainy digital softness that makes every surface feel lived-in and a little sticky with humidity. The palette leans on faded ochres, teals and sodden greens, broken up by sudden flashes of saturated colour in wedding finery and tense hospital-corridor fluorescence. Camera work is restless and close, with handheld pushes into faces during confrontations and static, almost voyeuristic frames of couples sharing a single cramped room. The score is a pulsing, percussive mix of Bollywood-leaning pop and moody strings, with silences that sit heavy around interrogation scenes. Vibe: sultry, unsettled, darkly playful, like a rainy evening spent second-guessing everyone. Pacing is brisk and twisty, with the emotional register swinging between bitter domestic squabbling, erotic tension and cold investigative dread. Intensity is moderate: a murder sets the premise, sexual content is frank with some nudity and simmering intimacy, and violence is brief and mostly offscreen, with dread and cruelty carried by dialogue more than gore. A lonely, volatile couple slowly exposing their worst selves to each other. For viewers who want a steamy, suspicious thriller that keeps them guessing until the last reel.
