The story

Expert negotiator Sam Nelson is in for the ride of his life—and so is everyone on board with him—after a group of hijackers take control. Sam will try every move in his playbook to take them down...as the stakes grow higher by the second.

What it’s like

Tense, tightly framed thriller compositions dominate this show: cramped cabin interiors lit by cold overhead fluorescents and the pale blue glow of instrument panels, interspersed with rain-slick London streets, grey Thames-side offices, and hushed airport corridors at night. Handheld camera work keeps the viewer close to faces and hands, and the palette is desaturated, with steel greys and muted navies that tighten as the situation escalates. The score is a pulsing, low electronic undercurrent that drops out for long stretches of near silence, so every radio crackle and whispered negotiation line carries weight. The vibe is anxious, controlled and claustrophobic, the kind of tension that suits a late evening alone or a long-haul flight when you want to be pinned to the screen. Pacing is relentless, with short episodes that stack cliffhangers and a protagonist whose calm professionalism slowly frays under pressure. Violence is present and sometimes sudden, including threats, gunfire and some bloodshed, but it is more a source of dread than gore, and there are no graphic sexual scenes. It is for viewers who want a high-stakes procedural with a steady hand on the wheel, rather than something soothing or gentle.
