The story
When the sun suddenly starts killing everything in its path, passengers on an overnight flight from Brussels attempt to survive by any means necessary.
What it’s like
Dim cabin interiors under blue-black night and flickering reading lights, with shuttered windows and the glare of daylight leaking through every gap. Much of the frame is tight and handheld, crowding faces into aisles and cockpit doors, while the wider shots of an aircraft crossing an empty, sunlit sky carry a cold, unnatural dread. The sound is taut: engine drone, muffled cabin murmurs, and a sparse, pulsing score that swells at moments of panic. The vibe is claustrophobic and anxious, with sun-bleached unease giving way to moral grit. It suits a late-night binge alone, when tension is the point and the lights are low. Pacing is relentless, with episodes that end on cliffhangers. Violence is frequent and sometimes brutal: hijacking standoffs, shootings, and deaths shown with real impact, though gore stays moderate. Sexual content is minimal. The emotional register is hard and complicated, following ordinary people who bend their principles to survive, and their shifting alliances and grief are the real engine. It is for viewers who want high-stakes survival drama with ethical knots and a bleak edge.
